The magic of Loom (leggi l'articolo su gamesindustry.biz)
Since then, other favourites have come and gone, those that are innovative, exciting, or compelling. But my love for Loom has continued to grow over the decades. As a player and designer I think about it often, and I finally understand why I enjoyed it.

Lack Of Diversity In Games Has Same Impact As Racism On Minority Players, Researcher Says (leggi l'articolo su Glixel)
Passamore's findings aren't entirely surprising. The game industry – especially the AAA scene – is dominated by a predominately white male work force. But even then, they've been short-sighted changes that, yes, change the gender of a character but still appropriate other cultures.

'Thimbleweed Park' Knows Why People Like Me Give Up on Adventure Games (leggi l'articolo su Waypoint)
Oh, sure, Casual Mode is supposedly for players who don’t have a ton of experience with the genre. It’s also for me—a person who is tired after a long week and wants the goofy humor (and certainly some of the puzzles), but none of the frustration that those older games, as great as they were, could drum up.

Sometimes, Bad Guys Don't Need the Extra Push to Make You Hate Them (leggi l'articolo su Waypoint)
I know that this is an attempt to make you fucking hate these guys, and it works. But it feel like it’s doing just a bit more than it needs to in order to get the sentiment across. These dudes are already after you, they’re already the enemy. I haven’t seen lengthy dialogue exchange between them, besides this. It felt like shit to read, and not in the way I think Iconoclasts was trying to get across.

Being Derek Yu: A Chat With The Creator of 'Spelunky', 'UFO 50' (leggi l'articolo su Glixel)
“With its built-in editors and drag-and-drop interface, it was the first tool that let me make games almost as fast as I could think them up,” Yu remembers. “It felt so intuitive and powerful that I used it and its successors (The Games Factory and Multimedia Fusion) as my primary creative tools up until the middle of college.”
